Hi Nancy- sounds like a great book-
Scottish Rite is an _affiliate_ body of the Masonic Organization=
A member first joins the Masons (3rd degree) and then may go on to join
either the Scottish Rite (up to 31 degree)or York Rite(up to 31 degree)- If
they affiliate with either the Scottish or York Rite the may then become a
Shriner- becoming a 32 degree Mason.- Hope this doesn't complicate
things:-)!
Best, Carolyn
