Would anyone happen to know if San Francisco at the
turn of the last century had a hotel called the
Imperial Hotel? It is mentioned repeatedly in the 1905
diary of a Japanese visitor to San Francisco. I
checked the SF street directories but cannot seem to
find a listing for it. I have also failed to find it
in contemporary travel/description books. Any help is
appreciated. Brian.
