St. Francis Hook and Ladder Company No.1 ,the first "Truck" or "Hook and
Ladder" company to be organized in San Francisco on June 15, 1850, is the
sponsor of the museum.

The website is well done, and takes you on a tour of the exhibits- provides
some very interesting historical data on the "rules and regulations" of the
fire department, and history of some of the original firehouses-
