Hi Everyone
For the past two years I have been doing free lookups in Napa County.
I have loved doing it and feel I have been very conscientious and have a good
turn around time usually one or two days.
However, lately those lookups are being referred elsewhere as quickly as they
come in. So, I am going to stop doing the requests effective immediately. I
have completed all I have and will be sending out today.
One sad thing here is that I can see the end to free genealogy and that is
too bad for many people who cannot even afford a dollar or two.
I have been soundly chastised in the past for doing this for free and it just
isn't worth the hassle.
It has been a very rewarding experience for me and I want to thank all the
great volunteers who have assisted me and shared their wealth of experience.
I will be completing the San Francisco schedules this month and next and of
course will stay on NORCAL and the SF Lists. Perhaps I can add something.
