Thanks to all who looked for my late uncle Ignatius A. Kerr. I now know his
middle name - Aloysious! I was amazed to find out from someone on this list
that the CD available at http://www.wrindex.com CD has him listed more than
once from old records belonging to Saint Patrick's Church (i.e. confirmation
date).

I was told by St. Patrick's Church a couple of years ago that there were no
records left that had survived the 1906 earthquake ... end of story!

The CD also contains some very old records (some dated back as far as the
1870s). There were several records of my great great grandfather Mathew
Kerr as well (seems he was in the Irish Army?).

Anyway, I recommend highly to anyone looking for Irish families that were
living down in the south of Market street area to get this CD if you can
afford it (cost is $60). I'd say its a goldmine of information and I hope
to get it myself soon!

Regards & once again many thanks to all who helped me locate & finally
identify my uncle,

Susanna O'Donnell
