The Oakland Library has an Obit lookup service also. If I remember
correctly they charge $2 per lookup and it is best to send a SASE with your
request giving the full names and Date of Death. You can check for any

The San Francisco Department of Health asks that people make reservations
when coming in to "research" in house. The office is rather crowded and an
extra body does hamper their activities.

May I suggest that you check the online CADI for your people and then
just visit the Dept. of Health, order and pickup the certificates. This
would only take about a half hour and you are on your way for more fun things
to do in San Francisco!
