This message is for Maryann Swigert, and Patti:
I have checked LDS microfilm #974,858 and found the marriage that Maryann
was looking for, but not Patti's. Perhaps she would like to check out
the film herself. It is handwritten and alphabetized by first letter
only, so I could have missed Alois and Florence Brunn.
The film has Re-recorded marriages from 1860-1873 (typewritten);
and Index to San Francisco Marriage Licenses 1904-1906. This is
handwritten, and is the last book on the film.
The opening page reads: "Book opened Sep 1, 1905 - Closed April
17, 1906. All marriage licenses left at this office for recording from
April 7- April 16 (inclusive) were destroyed by fire April 18, 1906."
Fortunately this index survived, even those the certificates
burned. (I was fortunate to find a marriage entry here my own research.)

"William K Mordock and Estelle ? Dunford
Oct 17, 1905 in San Francisco by F W Sampett
Book 146 pg 233"
This entry is on page 121 under the "Male" entries. Interestingly
enough, under the "Female" entries, they entered his name first - as
William K Dunford married to Estell Dunford. (Must have been a Friday
afternoon - late!)
