Do not know if anyone got back to you or not but I did find a Archie A. Tisdall, with a spouse C.B., who died in L.A., at the age of 62, on June 20, 1931. Did not find a Clyde Tisdall, in the pre 1940 C.A.D.I., so wondering if this is yours.

Clyde B. Thornhill married in 1891 to Archie A. Tisdall. This was found in
the San Francisco Call. I also found Archie listed in the 1920 Census in
San Francisco. So, from the census I am guessing he was born around
1869...but, don't know where. Both, most likely, died in San Francisco.
Any help would be appreciated. I can't wait to put together the pieces of
this branch of my tree. I have a feeling it's a very interesting story!
