Hi,

I am hoping that someone can assist me with the Enumeration District or
location of 803 or 808 Golden Gate Avenue in the 1900 Census.

My great grandfather, Otto W. Bayerd, was in the Navy in the Phillipines in
1900, but he listed his address as the one above. I am curious to see who he
lived with and the type of neighborhood it was.

Additionally, I wanted to ask if anyone has any suggestions for locating
someone in the late 1880's and early 1890's. My grandfather joined the Navy in
Sept. 1889 and listed his prior residence as San Francisco. The problem is that
he changed his last name when he joined the Navy, and the records of his
naturalization in San Francisco in 1892 were also destroyed.
