Hi Peggy,

I don't think I have any information that would help you, but I think I
mentioned to you a long time ago that a TWOMEY family previously owned the
house I grew up in on Duncan Street, between Church and Sanchez Streets in
San Francisco. I seem to recall that the TWOMEY family you were looking
for also lived in the same neighborhood, or attended the local Catholic
Church (St. Paul's). At that time, I didn't know any of their given names,
but have since found out a little more, and wonder if there might be any
connection.

The house was purchased in 1915 by Annie and Michael CADOGAN. Their
daughter, Nellie married Michael P. TWOMEY, a firefighter at the shipyards
in Hunters Point. I don't have a marriage date, but it was probably
sometime before 1946 when their first child was born. Nellie and Michael
TWOMEY were living in the house with the CADOGANs in 1952 and came to own
it by 1955.

The CA Death index lists a Michael P. TWOMEY who was born 23 May 1914 and
died 27 Apr 1971 in San Francisco...this could be him, but I'm not sure.

I'm wondering if you can make any connection to the Michael TWOMEY you
mention below?

I'm working on a history of my parents' house, which is why the TWOMEY
family has some interest for me. I'm putting together a history and
scrapbook about the house and would like to include some information about
the previous owners, so if you think there may be a connection, I'd love to
hear from you.

Best regards,

Pam
