Thank you for your reply.....My grandmother was EVA RAE, née Patten. So far I have been unable to find a death matching her..........even in UK. She was born in England 1879/80
This is a mystery I have been trying to sort out for so many years.........
I have Joseph's obit. thanks to a very kind member of this list and in it there is no mention of Eva, nor of any family with him there in California, but it seems odd that he should live there so long and not have made close enough relations to mention . ONly his mother and brother back in UK were cited. Is this significant or was it the norm?
