Did you know either Bill Hickox or his sister Laurie Hickox, they lived in Berkeley, CA., they were 1961 bronze medalists in the pairs and were part of the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating Team, who were killed in a plane crash, in Brussels, Belgium, in 1961.

If so a Patty Bushman, is writing a book about the 1961 U.S. World Figure Skating Team, you can e-mail her at


Note that Bill was a member of the Class of 1960, at B.H.S, and his sister Laurie, was a member of Garfield Junior High Class of 1960, which would of made her a member of Berkeley High Class of 1964.

Got this from a note in the "Berkeley Alumni Association Quarterly Journal" which is made up of Alumni of the Berkeley Public Schools.
