They may not have been registered under the name you know them by, their
name may have been misspelled OR their record may not be entered yet.
The list is weak on the earlier dates. I've found the same thing on the
Ellis Island list. I return every so often there & retry.
Occasionally, one of my wife's family members pops up. I now have four
of them - still not all by far.
