Our old friend Steve Morse of One Step Ellis Island fame has an
alternative way to search Castle Garden. You must have exact spelling
for both sites. Sometimes a last name search + country of origin is
best. However once you get the hang of The steve Morse site, you can
click on the plus and minus buttons and eventually get into alternate
spellings. Worth a try. I finally found the Sperisens I was looking for
by using every alternate spelling I could think of. Still haven't found
them all, but maybe they arrived by flying saucer.
