Linda

I do not thing he would of been buried in San Francisco, in 1908, it was against the law. So he could of been cremated and placed in the Odd Fellows Columbarium or buried in Colma. Not sure which cemetery he could be at, sorry.

for information on where he was RE-RE-buried and who paid for it.

Records of Stewart Mortuary of Rio Vista (Solano County, CA):
billed to John H. GARDINER
Joseph Asbury NESBITT
date of burial Dec 3, 1901
age 49, 1 month, 6 days
died of Cirrhosis of Liver
first Joseph was buried in lot 18, tier 2, (Masonic Odd Fellows Cemetery,
Rio Vista, CA)
in remarks it says removed to lot 3, sec 6, grave 1
then "Removed to San Francisco, shipped to Craig Cochran & Co (? hard to
read) on June 30, 1908."

Joseph was born in SF.

Thank you for any ideas,

Linda McDowell
San Juan Capistrano, CA
