>...For the New Year, we are having another Memories Contest...----> If you had a choice of any souvenir from San Francisco from any past time period, what would it be?

Well, Pam and I had a *very* difficult time trying to narrow down a winner. First, I want to thank everyone who submitted an entry. We thought they were all great. Thus, the difficulty of picking one, just one...And the winner is....

Jeanne Moody: "I'd love to see one of the woolen bathing suits that Sutro Baths had. My kids and grandkids would be amazed."

With what passes for bathing suits nowdays, it's amazing how far we have come. :-) Congratulations Jeanne! She will be getting a signed copy of Jim Smith's book. (I mentioned a new 4-door SUV, but, no, she wanted his book.)

Now, Pam and I also had our favorites we would like to share. Thus, the Judge's favorites:

RON--Trish Neal: "I would want to travel back to Panama Pacific International Expo in 1915 and visit the exhibit operated by the Alaska Garnet Mining & Manufacturing Co...having my photograph taken with them."

Besides the fact that it would have probably been the same photographer who would give me my souvenir, she also has a great website about her subjects: http://designsbytrisha.com/garnetledge1a.htm

PAM--Grant Krienberg: "...souvenir photo's at three different times in the past...When I got back, I'd ask you to post the photo's on the SFgenealogy website."

Pam was swayed tremendously by Grant's offer to post them on sfgenealogy.com! :-)

Again, thank you! to everyone who played. Keep your eye out for future contests.
