I've "rescued" an old photograph of Earl Francis GEITNER which was taken at
the Baldwin Studio in Sacramento, California. The photograph appears to
have been taken sometime in the 1880's with Earl's age noted as 7 months and
3 weeks at the time it was taken. Based on limited research I was able to
find information regarding Earl Francis GEITNER b. 8 Aug 1890 in Sacramento,
CA to parents Lewis S. GEITNER and Mary E. CARTER. Earl Francis GEITNER
died 10 Sept 1958 in San Francisco, CA.



In 1900 the family was living in Sutter, CA with census records providing
the following information:



Lewis S. GEITNER, age 52, born Nov 1847, married 11 years, born OH, parents
born NY/OH, a Teamster

Mary E. GEITNER, wife, age 47, born Nov 1853, married 11 years, 8 children/6
living, born WI, parents born NY/VT

Earl F. GEITNER, son, age 9, born Aug 1890, born CA

Ethel M. GEITNER, dau, age 8, born Jan 1892, born CA

Mattie C. NILES, step-dau, age 23, born Aug 1876, born CA, parents born
NY/WI, a School Teacher

John J. NILES, step-son, age 22, born Dec 1877, born CA, parents born NY/WI,
Railroad Shop Car Sealer

Laura S. NILES, step-dau, age 18, born Feb 1882, born CA, parents born
NY/WI, at School

Bradford CARTER, nephew, age 21, born Sept 1879, born OR, parents born
WI/OR, Railroad Shop Car Sealer



Guessing that the NILES children are from Mary E. GEITNER's first marriage
and Bradford CARTER is her brother's son.



In 1910 I find the family still living in Sutter, CA with census records
providing the following information:



Louis GEITNER, age 62, 2nd marriage 21 years, born OH, parents US born, a
Teamster

Mary E. GEITNER, wife, age 56, 2nd marriage 21 years, 8 children/6 living,
born WI, parents born NY/VT

Jabes NILES, step-son, age 32, born CA, parents born NY/WI, a Real Estate
Office Worker

Laura NILES, step-dau, age 28, born CA, parents born NY/WI, a Primary School
Teacher

Earl F. GEITNER, son, age 19, born CA, a Railroad Brakeman



In 1920 I can only find the Lewis GEITNER Family living in Sacramento, CA
with census records providing the following information:



Lewis G. GEITNER, age 72, born OH, parents born NY/OH, a House Contractor

Mary M. E. GEITNER, wife, age 66, born WI, parents born NY/VT



I'm hoping to locate someone from this GEITNER Family so that this wonderful
old photograph can be returned to the family. If you are a member of this
family, or know someone who might be, please contact me.
