I hate to tell you this but the Fairmount, was not open at the time of the Earthquake, it was going to open in the next or so. Did not open till the next year. Great story, but not true. ;-(

Hello:
I have just learned from my mother, that my grandmother and great grandmother were in San Francisco during the earthquake in 1906. They were staying at the Fairmount Hotel. Is there a contact person or would there be a list of guests at the Hotel at that time? My great grandmother married for the second time during that year and we have been searching for the marriage registration.
Thank you for any help.
