Yea! I think that I have a solid answer! Thanks to Rebekah for the link to
the Rosenblatt's business and residence in the 1864 City Directory for San
Francisco - and to JA Lounibos for the link to high-end fashion shawls -
which does seem most likely as at least part of the Rosenblatt's fancy goods
business.
There are 2 relevant listings in the 1864 Directory (see URL below)
(1) Business: Fancy Goods - Retail - Importers: Rosenblatt, S. , 125
Montgomery
(2) Residents: Rosenblatt, S. Palace of Fashion, 125 Montgomery, dwl 105
