Violet B. HANES, 80, of Stockton died Friday in a hospital. Mrs. Hanes was born in Patterson and lived in Stockton for 74 years. She worked for 10 years with Pacific Bell Telephone Co. Mrs. Hanes was a telephone operator. Survivors: children, Ruby Tassi of Virginia, Robin Kostenko of Washington and Kirk Hanes of Stockton; siblings, James Breakfield, Jesse Breakfield, Leonard Breakfield, Louis Breakfield and Patricia Turner, all of Stockton; six grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren. Services: Memorial, 2 p.m. Friday, Evergreen Chapel at Cherokee Memorial Park, East Harney Lane and Highway 99, Lodi. Committal: private. Mortuary: DeYoung Memorial Chapel. Memorials: American Heart Association, 1212 W. Robinhood Drive, Suite 5-D, Stockton, CA 95207.
