GORDON M. JASON

WOODSIDE - A rosary will be recited at 8:30 tonight at the Redwood chapel, Redwood City, for Gordon M. Jason, 51, 288 Eleanor drive, who died of an apparent heart attack early yesterday at a Redwood City restaurant.

Born in Piedmont, he was a University of Oregon graduate and at one time was a tour participant on the tennis circuits, having played at Wimbledon. He was a retired insurance broker and a member of the Menlo Circus club.

Survivors include his wife, the former Alice Phelan Murphy, grand-niece of the late U.S. Senator, James D. Phelan; four daughters, Mrs. Floyd Perry, Colorado Springs, Colo., Mrs. M. Abouzeid, Kentfield, and Marilyn and Laurie Sue Jason, and a son, Michael, all of Woodside; his mother, Mrs. William E. Jason, Sr.; Los Altos; a brother, William E. Jr., Woodside, and a sister, Mrs. Walter B. Nelson, Sacramento.

A requiem mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. tomorrow at St. Pius' Catholic church.
