Subject: [CASCLARA] Age Codes on the pre 1940 C.A.D.I.
Date: Thu, 5 Jul 2001 16:12:38 -0700 (PDT)
I was looking in the PRE 1940 C.A.D.I. today for some
one with the name of ZZ. And saw that in one line
there was a number 4 where most of the time it is 1.
So i checked the first page of the C.A.D.I., where
they have the codes and found the following. In the
column under age which is the one after spouse, there
are two numbers the first tells you how to figure out
the age and the next one is the age.
The codes are as follows:
Units of Age
1 - Years
2 - Months
3 - Days
4 - Hours
5 - Minutes
A - 100 years or over
blank - Unknown
Hope this is of help to people, for I do not know if
you can find this on the on-line 1930-1939 one.
George
