Subject: [CASEY] Casey Family on Hatteras Island, NC
Date: Sun, 4 Jul 2010 18:55:32 -0400
As part of our Lost Colony project, we're reconstructing the early families
on Hatteras island, one by one, form both extracted records and family
histories. Hatteras Island was part of Currituck, Hyde and current Dare
Counties in NC. The Casey family was found there early. Here is some
information about the early family members.
William Casey first appears on Hatteras island in the 1810 census. Price
reports him near Askin's Creek which is located in Avon. There are other
Casey families on the mainland prior to 1810, but I don't know if or how
they are connected.
If you have more information about this family or descend from them, please
contact me. Thank you.
