Hi there,

I am looking for information on Bertram or Burton Elmer Stevens who drowned in the Sacramento River on 5 Aug 1937. He is my Grandfather. He died when my Mom was 3 years old. I am trying to locate his obit and death certificate for my Mom. I would like to know a little bit about my Grandfather myself. Any information would be appreciated.

Apparently, he owned either a lumber or construction company and was working on the Shasta Dam - at least that is what my Grandmother told me before she passed away.
