I am looking for more information on my family of A.S. (or Stillman Asel) Porter, his wife Catherine, and their (then in 1870 Census of Goodyears Bar, 5 children). He was a merchant but his sons John and George later were miners at the Alaska Mine near Pike (and lived in Plum Valley, 1920). He was shot and killed in a robbery at his store in? Pike in 1885. Also any information on Manuel Rosa who also lived in Pike and married their daughter Elizabeth/Lizzie in 1882 and probably was the father of infant Joseph Roza(Rosa) buried in the Pike cemetary, 1884 (possibly a twin). Where might I locate information on the book you mentioned?
