Surname: SPINI, SPENIE, SPENE
-------------------------
My great grandfather CARLO SPINI came from Italy approx 1871. Suppose to
have been a stowaway coming across from the old country. He married my
great grandmother, Doshia in 1891 in Boone County, Missouri. My great grandfather
never spoke of any of his relatives as long as he lived. So it has been
difficult tracing any ancestors. From the SSDI (social security death Index)
I have located a few Spinis in Calif. In Siskiyou the names Chris Spini
born 22 Apr 1915, Josheph born 18 Dec 1912 and Josephine Spini born 21
Nov 1914.
Also in California I've run across the name Basilio Spini born 13 Sep 1887,
John Spini born 19 Aug 1887.
Spini is not a common name and I was wondering if any of these people could
have been related to my great grandfather Carlo.
The name Spini has evolved in our family from Spini (on Carlo and Doshia's
wedding license) to Spenie, to Spene.
Would there be any Spini's out there who might have a clue to my great
grandfather's past? Any help is appreciated.
