Guerneville is a town in western Sonoma County, located on the Russian River. I believe that in the past it has been part of Mendocino township and perhaps of Redwood township, (which were probably large rural mainly unincorporated areas). I am looking for information about John R. SIMMONS who in the Russian River area between 1860 and 1900. His wife was Elizabeth, his son was Benjamin. He was born about 1823 in KY.
