My father died: July 5, 2001, SSDI index says in, Marin, Novato, CA, his is name Ralph B. Mefford. I have sent a letter and check to Main County Recorder. I have got it back that there is no record of him and to remarks; to contact Sonoma County or Sacramento ! Why ? When he died in Marin county, stated by, SSDI. index ? This has been such a slow-up of things. Is there some way of finding out where is the right place to send a check and information ? I am sending you this message cause, you responded before, so nicely, on a county area. Is there someone to do a look-up on a death record or a obituary on him ?
