I have a subscription to the CA death index 1905-1939. And I own a CD
with early Sonoma county records from Heritage Books. I found:

On the CA death index:
Steiger, Edward spouse I, age 95, died Sonoma Co., CA 6/22/1930
record 34881
(In April 1930 his second wife, Ida Mary, is living in SF with a married
daughter, no sign of Edward there or in Sonoma Co. at first pass.)

In the Sonoma County cemetery records on the CD I found:
Sonoma Mountain Cemetery
Steiger, Ludwig b. 9/3/1879, d. 3/10/1915
Steiger, Luza d. 8/10/1900 age 54

In the County death records I find:
Steiger, Luza died 8/10/1900 age 54y 10d, female, married, born
Switzerland, died near Agua Caliente, burial Sonoma Mountain Cemetery
Source: Sonoma Co., Deaths 1885-1902, page 124

I found a couple of other Steiger records, but until I looked at the
census records 1880-1930, I didn't realize they were yours as well. If
you would like me to look for more records, just contact me directly

Hello,
Could someone please tell me if there is a death index for Sonoma, CA
--online? My ancestors, Edward Steiger and his wife died there. She
passed 1900-1910, and her name was listed as Suzia and Lucia on the
Census of 1880 and 1900. He died after 1920. They had at least 12
children from 1868-1910.
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
