Haven't seen any posts to this list recently so I thought I would offer to
volunteer to do lookups for those not in Stanislaus County.

I live in Modesto and could do obituary lookups in the Modesto Bee or Modesto
City directory lookups. The Modesto directory also includes Ceres, Turlock,
Patterson, Riverbank, Oakdale. The directories start in the early 1900s and go
thru the present. I also can do lookups from the California Death Index from
1940-94.

I also visit Turlock on a regular basis so could check the Turlock paper for
obits also.
