Hi Janet,

I can't do anything on obits for Fresno except send your message on to
another researcher who can check newspapers in the CA Room at the state
library in Sacramento. If you could provide the exact names of those that
you're interested in from Clovis I can check the CA Death Index first to
make the obit lookup easier.

As to Riverbank, I found at the Stanislaus county on-line recorder's office
site the following:
GORDON, NORA MAE 06/25/1951 12/15/1905 0000257-00 Female HOMICIDE
Stanislaus
MOORE, OPAL ETHEL 06/25/1951 11/06/1912 0000272-00 Female HOMICIDE
Stanislaus
Looks like both were classified as homicides. I'm in Modesto so I can check
the Modesto Bee for the article on the deaths - I'm not aware that Riverbank
has a newspaper. It might have appeared in the Oakdale paper also. I can
also take a look at their death certificates at the recorder's office to see
if their parents are listed - sometimes the database at the office goes one
screen further with the parent's names, and deceased's soc. sec. number.

Get back to me with the names for the Fresno/Clovis lookups. I should be
able to take a look at the death certificates by the end of the week.
