Hi Colleen,
Could I ask you the big favor of getting me a copy of Effie's death record? I had written to the county in the past and what threw me was the fact that Effie's maiden name was listed as Turner. Its supposed to be Towery. I can't get into the Towery Family Association without knowing what her parents' names are! Can you please help?
Thanks!
Kay

Hi Kay, Send me your snail mail address. I have your copy of Effie Tanner's obit. It appeared in the Modesto Bee, March 10, 1970. Survivors include daughters Iva Ousterhout of Sterline Mich., Effie Mae Reeves of Standish, Mich, Louise Kohn of Eureka and Pearl Smith of Santa Rosa, sons Rex A. Tanner, Charles Tanner and William Tanner all of Modesto, a sister Elizabeth Reeves of Hilmar If you need anything else on any of the descendents that were listed in Stanislaus county, let me know. I visit the recorder's office once a week so I can look at death, marriage and birth certificates if you need any of those.
Colleen
