OBITUARY: LILLY BAILEY, 88, COUNTY NATIVE, DIES IN HOSPITAL. Lilly M. Bailey,
88, died yesterday in a local hospital following an extended illness. She
was a native of Stanislaus County, and lived in the Turlock area most of
her life. Mrs. Bailey is survived by four daughters: Isabella [sic] Farrell
of Modesto, Ida Barnes of Turlock, Mary Wiltse of Vacabille and Blanchard
Parkman of Woodside; one son, Ivan M. Bailey of Turlock; eight grandchildren
and seven great granchildren. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday
at 1:30 p.m. in Shannon Chapel, Modesto, Rev. M. H. Gates officiating.
Cremation will follow in Parkview Cemetery at French Camp, Calif. Allen
Mortuary is handling local arrangements.
