Obituary from the Modesto Bee, Monday, March 1, 1971

GRADY A. DAVIS

Grady Arthur Davis, 62, of Modesto died yesterday in his home following
a brief illness.
A native of Waxahachie, Tex., he moved to California 40 years ago, and
lived in Modesto five years.
A veteran of World War II he was a member of the Modesto Post 3199, Veterans
of Foreign Wars. He was a carpenter and a member of the Baptist Church.
Survivors are three sisters, Ruby Orteg and Nadine Hilliker, both of Modesto,
and Willie Burch of Albuquerque, NM.
Services will be held at 4:30 p.m. tomorrow in the Salas Brothers Funeral
Chapel. Burial will be in the Golden Gate National Cemetery.
