LAWRENCE NEWSOME

Memorial services were held Saturday in Walnut Creek for Lawrence newsome, who passed away Thursday.

His body was donated to the Uni versity of Californai at Davis.

A native of Newman, he was 69 years old.

He was educated in Newman schools and graduated from the University of California specializing in chemistry. He spent a large part of his working life with the Continental Can Company Research Department.

After retiring, he lived at Rossmoor in Walnut Creek.

He leaves his widow, Frances; a son, Donald of Washington; a daughter, Mary, who teaches at a U.S. Base in England; and two grandchildren.
