MARIA ELFBLAD OF TURLOCK SUCCUMBS

TURLOCK, Jan 27 -
Mrs. Maria Christian Elfblad, 88, died today in a Turlock hospital after an extended illness.Born in Jonkoping, Sweden, Mrs. Elfblad came to the United States in 1882, locating in Omaha, Heb. where she lived two years and was married. Before coming to Turlock in 1904 she lived in Iowa and then western Nebraska.Mrs. Elfblad was a member of the Beulah Covenant Church and for several years had made her residence in the Bethanhy Home.She leaves the following nieces and nephews: Mrs. Ruth Richards of Turlock,
Mrs. Anna Adamson and Miss Betty Johanson in Sweden, John Carlson of Oakland and Erick and Seth Johanson in Sweden.

Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock in the O'Hara-Drake Mortuary. Rev. Walfred Westlind, paster of the Beulah Covenant Church, and Rev. Henry E. Ek of the Bethany Home will officiate.
Interment will be in the Turlock Cemetery.

WOMAN'S ESTATE IS VALUED AT $6,000

A petition for probate of will on file today in the Superior Court states
Christina Elfbad of Turlock who died this week, left an estate valued at
about $6,000.
Rosa M. Richards of Turlock is the petitioner and is represented by
attorney William N. Graybiel.
