JOHN S. HACKETT DIES AT REEDLEY

The funeral of John S. Hackett, a prominent resident of Ceres (Stanislaus County) for 9 years until five months ago when he went to live with his son in Reedley, (Fresno County) where he died Sunday, will be held from the parlors of Bowker & Wood this afternoon at 3 o'clock. Rev. F. M. Reed of Ceres, will officiate. John S. Hackett was born in Butler county, Ohio, October 5, 1838. He had lived in the San Joaquin valley for the past 45 years. He leaves eleven children, all of whom lived in California. The children are W. J. Hackett of Ceres, Oscar Hackett of Fresno; George F. Hackett of Reedley, at whose home the death occurred, D. M Hackett of Modesto, C. H. Hackett of Richmond, Dennie Hackett of Hickman, Mrs. E. E. Murray of Ceres, Mrs. T. H. Fento of Richmond, Mrs. F. F. Fowler of Los Angeles, Mrs. F. L. Long of Reedley, and Mrs. J. E. Servier of Los Angeles.
