SECOND VICTIM OF ACCIDENT DIES

Forest Popp, 25, Succumbs to Injuries in Modesto Hospital

Forest Popp, 25, of Modesto died in a hospital here early last night from injuries received last Wednesday evening when an automobile crashed into a bean thresher on the Paradise Road. While the youth regained consciousness after the accident, his condition was considered serious from the beginning and little hope was held out by attending physicians for his recovery.

Son of Modestan

Popp was the son of Mrs. L. A. Coffin of Modesto and Arthur L. Popp of Santa Maria.
The same accident resulted in the death of Bert Murray, 20, son of H. Murray of the Paradise District.
Popp and Murray, together with O. Dorland, were standing near their bean thresher on the road when an automobile driven by John Butcher, Modesto rancher, crashed into it. Dorland and Butcher were not badly injured.
Surviving Popp besides his parents are a sister, Mrs. Vivian Walker, a grandfather, John Schwab, and two uncles, Walter and Wilbur Schwab of Modesto.
Funeral services will be held in the Sovern Funeral Home on Thursday morning at 10 o'clock with Rev. James H. McCallum officiating. Interment will be in the Masonic Cemetery.
