Mrs. Anna Rogers, 64, Called By Death; Funeral Thursday
Mrs. Anna Rogers, 64, mother of Councilman, Harold L. Rogers of Modesto, died Monday morning at her home two miles south of Modesto off the Crows Landing Road.
Mrs. Rogers, a native of Coulterville was a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. John Carpenter, pioneer residents of Stanislaus County. She had resided at her home near her for thirty-three years.
Besides her son in Modesto, Mrs. Rogers leaves another son, John W. Rogers of San Francisco. She was a sister of Mrs. Carrie Row of San Jose, William H. Carpenter, of Modesto and John W. Carpenter of Badger.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock in the Shannon Funeral Chapel with Rev. A.R. Goozee officiating. Interment will be in the Citizens' Cemetery.
