Private inurnment services were held for Robert Frank Chapman, Sr., 79, of Turlock.

Mr. Chapman was born in Laurim, Mich. He died Saturday at home.

He served in the United States Army and he worked for Boeing Aircraft. He became self-employed as an electrical design engineer. He moved to Turlock in 1987.

Survivors include his companion, Paula Chapman of Turlock; one son, Robert Chapman, Jr. of Milpitas; three stepchildren, Aleta Cone of Turlock, Dennis McElhenie of Merced, Lyle Hammond of Seattle, Wash.; one brother, Ron Chapman of Lufkin, Texas; five grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.

Allen Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
