Avis L. PINION—Services will be held 1p.m. Monday at Allen Mortuary for Avis Lee PINION, 77, of Modesto, who died Thursday at her home. Burial will follow at Turlock Memorial Park.
Visitation is at the mortuary from noon until 9 p.m. today, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday, and from 8 a.m. until services Monday.
A native of Duncan, Okla., she moved to Fresno in 1952 and then to Paramount in 1961. She lived in Turlock from 1970 to 1985, when she moved to Modesto. She was a member of Carver Road Church of God and a past member of Calvary Assembly of God Church in Hilmar.
She is survived by two daughters, LaVerne CHADWICK of Fresno; a son Walter of Fresno; two brothers, Loyd PINION of Lawton, Okla., and Herbert MABRY of Texhoma, Okla.; nine grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren
