Abijah Howard native of Georgia, aged 83, died yesterday at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Martha Bever of Turlock. Funeral services will be held at 2 o’clock tomorrow afternoon at the O’Hara Funeral Home on Lander Avenue. Interment will be made in the Turlock cemetery.
Mr. Howard served in the Civil War, being a first corporal in the Fourth Tennessee Cavalry. He came to California 35 years ago and settled in Sonoma County. Seven years ago he came to Richmond and during the last 8 months he has made his home in Turlock. He leaves his daughter, Mrs. Bever; a son, Henry Howard of Richmond; 11 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren.

NOTE: I did not find an obit for Anna. I am scanning via email copies of cemetery information sheets for Anna and Aabijah. Parents of Abijah were: George and Sarah (no maiden name given for Sarah) both born Georgia. I'll see what I can find out about the children.
