IRA CREEKMORE

Ira Creekmore, 86, a resident of Modesto 32 years, died yesterday in a local hospital following a brief illness.

A native of Mulberry, Ark., Creekmore moved to California in 1928. He was a retired carpenter and a member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church.
Survivors are his widow, Nora Creekmore; sons Clyde Creekmore, Ben Creekmore and Jim Creekmore, all of Modesto, Hubert Creekmore of Chelan, Wash., John Creekmore of George, Wash., and Donald Creekmore of Fresno; a daughter, Clara Elizabeth Russell of Hughson; a brother, Ancel Creekmore of Modesto; sisters Purnie Hobbs and Dessie Richardson, both of Modesto; 32 grandchildren, and 33 great-grandchildren.
A service will be held at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Salas Brothers Funeral Chapel. Burial will be in the Lakewood Memorial Park.
