"POP" Martin Passes Away

Funeral services were held in Evans-Krieger Funeral Chapel on Tuesday morning for Joseph L. (Pop) Martin, well known local retired sign painter and in recent years also a grower of large worms used by fishermen, who passed away on Friday at Del Puerto Hospital in Patterson.
A native of Sidney, Iowa, he was 76 years old.
Interment was in Hills Ferry Cemetery.
Heis survived by his wife, Edna; a brother Lyman R. Martin and a sister Lena M. Aplin, both of Long Beach.
He was a member of the Newman Moose Lodge.

In remembrance of our beloved "Pop" Martin we want to thank our friends and neighbors for their help, flowers, donations and all the food brought to our home. A special thanks to the pall-bearers, Dr. Reimer and all the staff at Del Puerto Hospital, Patterson.
