JAMES LUTHER SMILEY, 63, of Gustine, died Tuesday in Daly City.
SERVICES: Gravesude 2:30 p.m. today at Hills Ferry Cemetery, Newman. Visitatiion 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today at Hillview Funeral Chapel, Gustine.
BACKGROUND: Native of Moro, Ark. Lived in Gustine 18 years. Systems analyst for Blue Cross. Navy veteran of World War II. Former member Turlock and Merced country clubs.
SURVIVORS: Wife, Carol Smiley of Gustine. Son, Scott Smiley of Modesto. Stepmother, Beryl Smiley of Brinkley, Ark. Two brothers. One sister.
REMEMBRANCES: Favorite charity.
