Rafaelita L. Castillo, 90, passed away on Thursday, September 26, 2002 in Socorro, N.M. She was born May 27, 1912 to Jose and Eulalia (Silva) Lopez in Socorro.

She was employed by Socorro General Hospital for 17 years and was a member of the Crucistas of San Miguel Catholic Church.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Pablo; a brother, Joe Castillo and her parents.

She is survived by her sons: Rodrigo and his wife, Patricia of Barstow, Calif; Nepoleon and wife, Irene of Clovis, N.M.; Paul L. and wife, Barbara of Socorro; Albert and wife, Stella of Socorro and Anthony Silva of Las Cruces, N.M.; daughters: Mary E. Barber and husband, Eddie of Lovington, N.M.; Eloisa Silva of Socorro; Toni Little of Las Cruces,and Luggy Shorter and husband, Las Cruces; many grandchildren and many great grandchildren.

Rosary was recited at 7 p.m. Monday, September 30, 2002, at San Miguel Catholic Church. Funeral mass was celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, 2002, at the San Miguel Cemetery.

Pallbearers were: Anthony Silva, Martin Castillo, Johnny Gonzales, Wallace Gonzales, Robert E. Elber and Roger Castillo Jr. Honorary Pallbearer was Paul L. Castillo Jr. Arrangements by Steadman-Hall Funeral Home, Socorro.
