Searching for Castle Garden ship arrival for:

TILMAN, Solomon (age approx. 20-22) and
TILMAN, Bessie (age approx.16-19)
(This surname is a problem. It was changed
after they arrived and I'm not even 'sure' that
it's the one under which they sailed. Is it
possible to look up 'any couple' with these
given names and approximate ages?)

Allegedly married in 1878 and immediately
emigrated to NY from Suwalki, Russia/Poland
that same year, according to family lore and
1900 census and 1884 naturalization papers.

I cannot 'confirm' them in the 1880 census but
family and 1900 census claim their 1st child
was born in NYC in 1879-80.


Can anyone help?
