Hello,

I'm a new subscriber in hopes to find information on my ancestors.

I'm looking for the ship that my husbands Great Grandfather came to the U. S. on. He came as a child in 1859 from Ireland. He had to come through Castle Garden, Ellis Island wasn't established yet. Do you know because of his age, could he travel by himself? He settled in Pennsylvania. The 1850 census doesn't tell us that much and as a child he would have to be living with someone or in an Orphanage. I've also thought of the Orphan train. He eventually went to Iowa.

Any help would be appreciated
