I am looking for information on a Jacob Rowe (b ca 1790 NC d. aft 1850)
who is in the 1850 Catawba County census. I believe he is the father of
Gilbert Perkins Rowe (b 1820 NC d. aft 1870 Ark). There is also a Peter
Rowe in Catawba Co. about the same time who is probably related.

Does anyone know a ROWE researcher in Catawba County? I looked for
Rowe's using Switchboard and there are about a 100 in the phone book in
Conover, Hickory, etc. Surely one of these folks has researched Rowe's
in Catawba County! I can't afford to write to all of them and ask!

Any help is appreciated.
