I have been concerned with so much confusion about the Fry family that I
wanted to put this on the internet correctly. There was only one Fry who
came to what would become Catawba County for the first 40 or 50 years.
That was Nicholas Fry. He was it for a long time. Some of the confusion
came from Col. Yoder's account of the Fry family from his memory. These
early Frys had been a long time dead.

A complete study of all descendants can be ordered from Lloyd & Jeannie
Frye, 4700 Fantasy Lane, Alton, IL 62002. Order the complete file from
him.

Mr. Fry also has added documentation for these records, but I did not have
the space. Do reply to him, not to me. Anne
